Unusual Claude Montana oversized 1980s overcoat in a soft shade of cream and made from 100% lambswool. It features a wide faux asymmetric shearling collar and matching belt to cinch in the waist, creating a feminine silhouette. It fastens at the neckline with a two popper closure, with a hook and eye below the collar, and each sleeve is finished with a pair of cream buttons. The sleeves are wide through the arm to the cuff, leaving plenty of room for layering underneath. The back features a slit for ease of movement and it is fully lined with a silky feel viscose material in a coordinating pale cream shade.

Please note that the shearling collar looks more even in the studio photos; it is in fact much wider on the right hand side. The style reminds us of the asymmetry of the 1940s and film noir. It could be evened out both sides with minor alterations if desired but we like as is.

It is in very good vintage condition overall; we noticed on close inspection a small moth graze on the right sleeve which is hardly noticeable. Made in Italy and labelled a 42/8, this coat would fit a range of sizes up to a UK 14 or US 10. Pictured here on our UK 8-10 model or US 4-6.
